I am so excited that you have found your way to First Baptist Church's home on the web. Our sincere desire is to reach out to you and your family in order to draw you into the body of Christ for His glory and your good. We are committed to loving and serving you so that you may be growing up into a "fully devoted follower of Christ" fully equipped for everything God has called you to.
First Baptist Church is not a perfect church. They don't exist. We are a body of broken people that Jesus is putting back together in the image of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:28-29). If you're broken too, you'll fit right in and you will be welcomed - not judged. Bring your "baggage" with you! We'll help you carry it! We will just show you where to check it! We'll help you lay them down at the feet of Christ! That's the beauty of God's grace. He calls broken people to Himself and then He binds them up, clothes them with garments of praise, and sends them out to proclaim the excellencies of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (I Peter 2:9).
As you browse around, I pray that you will just get a taste for who we are and Who we serve. We want to pour ourselves out for the glory of God and for the good of God's people. Would you come and let us pour ourselves out for you? It would give us great joy to meet you. Until then ...
